The 18th Annual Bostwick Cotton Gin Festival

Parade Participant Information

The Bostwick Cotton Gin Festival will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007, with the parade starting at 10:00 am. Thank you for showing an interest in the parade and your willingness and spirit to participate. Parade participants should be on site at the assembly point on 2nd street, between 8:30 and 9:00 am. Parking will be provided at the Bostwick City Hall / Fire Department (near the parade ending point). Please limit vehicles in the staging/starting area to actual parade entries. Please mail entry form to Cotton Gin Festival, PO Box 66, Bostwick, GA 30623 by October 25th.

Anyone wishing to participate in the parade needs to lineup on Nunn Lane or Malcom Circle before 9:00am. Watch for signs and directions.

Safety is our foremost objective. Please help us provide a safe and orderly event by following staff instructions and these simple guidelines.

  • Keep your eyes and ears open. Be aware of your surroundings. Enjoy the day and crowd, but stay in control of your entry and riders at all times.

  • Please do not throw candy or other favors during the parade.

  • Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front, keep an eye on the vehicle in front, stay in the middle of the road, and maintain a safe slow steady speed.

  • Keep moving as the parade ends and move away from the main highway.

Pre-registration and a registration fee of $10.00, for the parade will be required. Complete and return the registration form. All participates must follow listed guidelines:  All farm equipment is accepted, automobiles must be of vintage quality and well maintained, organizations and clubs welcomed, floats welcomed,  automobile dealerships or businesses wishing to participate must be identifiable, and no throwing candy of any kind. 

Donations may be made this year. Simply include your donation with this form. All monies collected will go to the restoration fund of the Susie B. Agnes Hotel.
